Vind AX – Opening of Långnabba wind farm

The opening of Långnabba wind farm took place 17.5.2022. The wind farm, consisting of ten wind turbines all in the 4 MW-class, is situated at the southern tip of Eckerö, Åland Islands. The wind farm will produce approximately 130 GWh energy per year which equals to 40-60 % of the electricity supply on the Åland Islands. DKCO advised Vind AX Ab on all aspects of the acquisition and financing of the wind farm. DKCO’s role involved environmental- and permitting issues, raising of capital, share issuances and bank financing, as well as transactions regarding the acquisition and maintenance of the wind turbines from turbine manufacturer Vestas.
